The outbreak of COVID-19 makes online teaching an inevitable trend, so does Chinese teaching. Many teachers who are used to traditional teaching methods have been caught off guard by the sudden shift from traditional classroom teaching to online teaching across a screen. How to use Chinese textbooks online, arrange teaching contents, choose teaching methods, and conduct classroom management have become the challenges that teachers must face. However, it is the key to cultivate learners' Chinese communicative competence to enhance the interaction between teachers and students through appropriate classroom activities, whether online or offline. Effective classroom activities can stimulate learners' learning motivation, maintain good interaction with teachers in the online class, transform the language knowledge into language skills, and finally acquire the application ability of language communication through sufficient practice.
